My Life Is Mine
Your walking on a thin line
soon you'll be crossing from your life to mine
Why should it matter what I do
and why do you waste your time?
It seems unfair that you can try to make decisions for me
even though you are not me
Your not even that close to me
Only by blood, but I don't have all of your blood
Only a quarter, still that doesn't even give you the right to a quarter of my decision
and you stand there trying to make half
You can say what you want but you have no say
It isn't valid if we do it my way
There is also a thin line between loving you
and loving what you do, more appreciating what you do
What you do gives you no right to direct me
all I ask is that you respect me
and leave me alone.
