My Life Is Great
I wake up in the morning as early as three
So I can cartoon and paint canvases before work, you see
I am a party animal who loves her job
I work with Shirleys and Joyces, hardly a Bob
For I am a counselor in a grade school
We are full of women, some could make you drool
One is kind of witchy, I avoid her most of the time
Best of all, they pay me well, and I get to rhyme
In between classes if there is no crisis
I can write poems about Cleopatra or Isis
If there is a problem, the kids come to me
I refresh myself every morning in my studio at three.
My life is great, my day is full of joy and love
I get to laugh and play with children from above
I find their goodness is refreshing and sweet
A better life I have yet to meet
