My Life Is Great

I wake up in the morning as early as three So I can cartoon and paint canvases before work, you see I am a party animal who loves her job I work with Shirleys and Joyces, hardly a Bob For I am a counselor in a grade school We are full of women, some could make you drool One is kind of witchy, I avoid her most of the time Best of all, they pay me well, and I get to rhyme In between classes if there is no crisis I can write poems about Cleopatra or Isis If there is a problem, the kids come to me I refresh myself every morning in my studio at three. My life is great, my day is full of joy and love I get to laugh and play with children from above I find their goodness is refreshing and sweet A better life I have yet to meet

Sounds wonderful, Caren! Is this what you really do, or just a well written story? It's well-written whether it's true or not! Blessings, Kim M

It is what I really do - I successfully eliminated 28 jobs before I discovered this career, which I have had for 27 years now. I LOVE every single day of my life except for the 4-5 days a year I am forced to do paperwork; I despise paperwork! But I love meeting new people and we have 14 new staff members, so I have been having a blast for 9 days meeting them. We have Friday off, and the students start on Monday - that is when the real fun begins! I teach character education lessons, and I teach children how to solve their problems in a polite and respectful manner.
