My Life In a Nutshell
In my youth I was wild
Crazy is a term best used
I was a hunter of the female sex
And the laws of the land I abused
I was a musician and singer
A talent I used brilliantly
Serenading the female sex
They liked singers and they liked me
What fun it was to sing my songs
And listen to the applause
Although it was just a step up
To my deceitful cause
Several times I was engaged
But all of them fell through
I introduced my first fiance
To fiance number two
That’s the way it was with me
I didn’t have a care
Life was just a play thing
And death I didn’t fear
Then one day it happened
The one who would change my life
She captured me with such ease
I knew she would be my wife
She changed me in so many ways
I cared none in the least
I was ready to settle down
We’d be Beauty and the beast.
So here I am with a wife and three kids
And thirty-four years later
Two son-in-laws and eight grand-kids
And life keeps getting greater
