My Life At Last

All my life I have wanted, waited;
Seemed like it wasn’t real,
What I’ve desperately longed to feel.
Now it’s here, and I’m alive!

I have you in my life!
At last something firm,
Something sweet.
With you I will retreat.

Not from life, but into the light,
Right here, where you are,
A place so far from all that’s hard.
Now with you we’ll all take part.

For you are so soft, in word and deed.
I always look for ways, to make you pleased.
From the start, to where it never ends,
I will always be your friend.

Unto the Spirit, is where I want to lead,
with You helping me stay on my feet.
Now I’m not wanting, I’m working,
Enjoying the thrill, of finally having what I need.

Just the chance at a life with love,
Is more than I thought I would have.
Now all I want, is all that’s in store,
And that’s enough, to go all out for.

It all turns the tide, into an ocean wide,
Of places to go, things to do, and feelings to unhide.
This is my epiphany, a change from the dark.
I’m coming out, as you hold my heart.
