My Life

The first ring he ever gave,

it turned my finger green

but it meant a lot anyway

I wish you could have seen.

It feels like the years flew by,

and they are moving fast

though we had some bumps

our love just seems to last.

It happened very differently,

our meeting a little odd

Paths destined to cross

Because of the man called God.

I am grateful for this love,

This perfect match for me

And the little miracles

That I get to see.

Sometimes my words get mixed, but what I was meaning is..Though I don't go to church, I do believe in God. I am not some person who preaches to others, hell, I have my own faults.

Thank you Cornel, Yes God has done a lot for me, though sometimes I wonder how I deserve it. Believe me when I say, I don't go to church and think I am some super Christian lol, but I do believe in God and his miracles. Glad you enjoyed this poem. Take care my friend, Jess
