My Life

What was once my own
Has changed as I have grown
Knowing things that weren’t previously known
Much of which the rest won’t condone

So many times have I too fallen
For so many of my actions were gulling
But deep down inside there was this constant gnawing
And it was God opening up my heart to His Calling

Such a commonness to it all
For life is a very long haul
But always in the distance I would hear His Call
Then I would feel Him picking me up from my fall

I would tell others about His amazing Way
But so many don’t care what I have to say
It’s for all of them that each day I kneel down and pray
That they too will hear from the Lord today

This change doesn’t just happen over night
It will be a constant battle and an uphill fight
But if you keep Jesus always and forever in your sight
Upon You He will shed His Light
