My Life

My Life
My life has had it’s ups and downs
There’s been smiles, there’s been frowns
Most of my life has been in sin
As far as happiness, I could never win
I’ve had some real love in my life
I even asked one to be my wife
But I lost her because of my attitude
Because fear based anger was my main mood
But not to feel was my reason
Through day and night, all four season
No doubt my mind was sick
Around my soul a wall four feet thick
Tears shed like Niagara falls
During lonely nights inside the padded walls
Most friendships would end in pain
Because I walked into them with disdain
But since then sobriety is what I’ve found
It’s helped my spirit, put me back on the ground
Since then my mood has been lifted
Thanks to those who’ve helped, their quite gifted
