My Last Song
MY LAST SONG
This old world is filled with joy and sorrow,
And there is no promise we will be here tomorrow
But when I die I hope my family and friends stay strong
And remember me for my last song.
There are many lessons that I've had to learn
About crossing bridges before they could burn
And though I turned my back on family and friends
I'll be the one to answer in the end.
Now I've heard you will find peace in the light
If you see it don't put up a fight
Keep your faith and always be true
Because your loved ones will be there to meet you
So please don't cry for me once I'm gone
And I'm so sorry that I left you alone
But always remember how I held your hand
And then I think you will understand
That through it all I tried to be strong
So I'm writing you my last song.
