My Last Note
My Last Note
My hands on the keys as they clickedy clack
The butts’ in the tray, there is no looking back
A note to my love who is leaving today
My ticket unused as she said I should to stay
As I couldn’t explain the butts with red stain
Or the single gold earring; she couldn’t remain
So she’s taking off and I’m staying behind
And I’m leaving this note, going out of my mind
If she ever comes back; if this note is found
She’ll also find me still hanging around
