My Last Note

My Last Note My hands on the keys as they clickedy clack The butts’ in the tray, there is no looking back A note to my love who is leaving today My ticket unused as she said I should to stay As I couldn’t explain the butts with red stain Or the single gold earring; she couldn’t remain So she’s taking off and I’m staying behind And I’m leaving this note, going out of my mind If she ever comes back; if this note is found She’ll also find me still hanging around

I should stay without a to. Other than that perfect as well as sad. See you at next poetry meeting in January and Oak Island Poetry Recital on Tuesday at 1400 hours. Jim Horn
