My Last Lie

My hearts racing
and I crave a bullet
to make it stop
my throat is dry
from the recollection
of what my love brought,

this pain and helplessness
makes my heart pound
it takes a moment
for my mind to hit the keys
and touch the rebound

again the ball has landed
into my court
but yet my arms are shaking
from my lack of support
my enemy has the upper hand
and here I sit in this vital moment
ready to inject the posion on demand
or take cover with command

but yet my hearing
tells my mind to stop
to memorize all the words
that my young life taught
for everything in my world in shaking
from all the lies I forgot

my story changed from time to time
and line after line
I got caught within my own web of lies
my eyes turned direction
at a speedy pace
it jumped back and forth
to every sentence on the page
and then jumped to the mirror
and caught sight of my dark sides reflection
