My Last

I know your heart is breaking but I still have to leave.
I see how your hands are shaking but now they can't persuade me.
Though you may not see it now, I know it's the healthy choice.
Don't worry because as time moves on you will loose the memory of my voice.
It hurts to turn my back but I know I must say good-bye.
I can't let you see these tears, as pieces inside me die.

Tell me how did this all happen.
I can't figure out what went wrong.
Whe did we start hurting one another.
Or was it happening all along.
Like you I feel all this pain and sorrow.
Still we must move on.
Your brighter future lies in tomorrow.
You will see that soon after I'm gone.
I wish i could remember the good times.
The ones now shadowed in the past.
I can't believe this has happened, I thought you would be my last.

I want to see you happy, but I know that can't be with me.
We have worn out each other for so long, make ours hearts break and bleed.
Look at me one last time before I break and cry.
I see all the beauty that surrounds you, it lets me know that you will be alright
