My King

Only in you have I come so far
And only through you could you have made me shine
The stars In my mind compare only in you
Grew from you as a mustard seed unto a tree
And the light has set me free
What do I give to such a lord
What do you give a king
I will crown him my victor
And hero In my life
Dedicate my writing
And my guiding motivation
He is what helps me foot by foot
But the steps are only one
And we walk in one step
As I lay upon his scared back
The wounds heal my heart
And the nail pierced hands make me all one
Never apart
The injured heart that I carry
Knows you but evil may vary
He walks in silence
But in such a way
That through his love I know what he is to say

Another week has come and gone and I haven't been able to read as much this week as I had wanted. I am glad I was able to read your poetry today Josh. Keep your pen scrolling don't let the ink dry up. I hope you have a wonderful weekend of sunshine and joy and find lots of inspiration along the way. Love, Carol
