My Inner Strength

For Achilles it was his wounded heel For Sampson his cut off hair For me I would loss my inner strength If you were no longer there Like Stanley looking for Livingstone Like Ponce de Leon searching for youth I would scour the world looking for love If you were gone – and that’s the truth Brutus was the end for Caesar Waterloo for Napoleon If ever you were to go away I would cease to carry on Throughout the pages of history Are stories with which I relate But as long as you stay here with me I won’t suffer a similar fate
