An old house I am led to -it is the symbol of memories in cobwebs - like those of old lost love - a storehouse for so many things buried in my mind. I open up its creaking door to see what I might find. Lovely notes come wafting down the stairs to me. The memories buried find me.

Andrea, this strikes me a Valentine for each of us. The old house is in all our brains, and we can let the notes visit us as we wish...or sometimes they seem to have a will of their own. It's all rather good to explore since it brings meaning to the present. This is great poetry! Smiles.

Different aspects of old memory and emotion in the poem and the mind repository of past experience and the poet consciously accessing these memories, very well written.

Not many people would soak in the memories of an old house to find lovely notes from the stairs. Many people would deem it "creepy." You on the other hand went beyond the old and found memories of love.

Andrea, your use of symbolism and imagery is beautiful; it is warm, kind, and endearing. A particular gesture as a gift from your cherished souvenirs!
