My Identity
Imparted with divine nature* thru my Saviour
Dead to self am I toward righteous behavior.
Empowered by Holy Ghost’s ministering might
Nourished spirit of mine seeks to shine in God’s light.
Tried and tested in faith-challenges’ crucible
I’m upheld by my great Lord Who does enable.
Taught with illumining precepts from the Scriptures
Yielded is my soul for willing servant-gestures.
Offering my all to my Master’s good orders
Follower am I to Him within His borders.
My Father in heaven leads me to victory
Influencing me to declare Gospel story.
Now alive in Christ, I do thank Him for His grace
Exalting Him earnestly with worshipful praise.
*2 Peter 1:4 "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."
