My Hope
My Hope
I know who you want to be
I can see how complex you are
You’ve felt invisible and lonely
But you haven’t ventured off too far
Your mind is filled with substance
Your heart exceeds its capacity for love
Eyes filled with tears in an instant
You transfer energy through hugs
You move me with your empathy
You take in other’s sorrow
You give me assurance and transparency
That it will be ok tomorrow
