My Home Is You
In the world's vast and troubled sea, I'll be forsaken, left to drift
Friends will fade like autumn leaves, and family ties will lose their grip
I'll be a stranger in the night, with no shelter, no place to call my own
But in the darkness, I'll search for love, though it may seem like an endless moan
Yet, in your loving arms, I've found my home, my refuge, my peaceful nest
My life is in your hands, dear Lord, where I am safe, where I am blessed
You've taken me in, with all my flaws, and loved me still, without a single pause
You've cleaned my soul, and repaired my heart, and polished it with your loving art
Though my heart was broken, shattered, and worn, you've recreated it, and made it new
You've dipped it in the waters of your love, and washed away my fears, my doubts, my pain
When I needed company, you were there, beside me, holding my hand
You never left my side, even when the darkness seemed to have no end
In the midst of turmoil, you gave me peace, a peace that transcended human understanding
When there seemed to be no way, you made a way, a path of hope, a path of light
You're my shelter, my shield, my guiding star, my home, my everything, near and far
You're the anchor that holds me fast, the rock that stands firm and strong
You're the love that heals my wounds, and sings me a sweet, sweet song
You're my Daddy, my Father, my God, my all, my everything, my home
Forever and always, I'll rest in your love, and never be alone.
