My Home In Heaven

In my home in heaven always will be found
a comfortable chair for a friend to sit down.
A basin of warm water to wash his tired feet
and a place at my table with plenty to eat.
I'd patiently listen if he wanted to talk
and I'd be right beside him if he wanted to walk.
A soft and warm blanket if he needed to rest
and if he needed directions I'd sure do my best.
A heartfelt and warm greeting when he knocked at my door
and a tearful goodbye when he can't stay anymore.
