My Heroes

The world will never tell you
But there’s no other way
To thank My friends I’ll never know you
And I’ll never see your face
But, in my heart I know you’ll always
Have a special place
 The reasons you’re not here today
Is so the world’s a better place
So our kids can run and play
So your life is not in vain
Your courage will never fail you
If you don’t grow weary or faint
Be consistent when you pray
And always keep the faith
The reasons you’re not here today
Is so the world won’t feel the pain
To preserve a yesterday
And to make way for a better day
You’re scared out there
And you’re feeling all alone
My heroes
And I can’t wait til you come home
There’s a lot of soldiers dying
For reasons they don’t know
There’s a lot of mothers crying
Who won’t see their children grow
The history books won’t show you
But I think that you should know
You’re my heroes
And I can’t wait til you come home 
you for your service
And your duties everyday
Your uniforms are classy
And we love how your boots shine
Your job is so risky
But you’re always on time
The reasons you’re not here today
Is so your children can run and play
To make away for a brighter day
So your lives are not in vain
You’re scared out there
And you’re feeling all alone
My heroes
And I can’t wait til you come home
