My Hero

My HERO

Where do I begin to explain 
My happiness and joy 
It all began with a man I
Chose to explore
I had no idea his text would 
Lead to another chapter Of
My life 
I am so excited with emotions 
I forgot all of my strife 
He defends our country and
Sacrifices so much 
He can lean on me anytime , I’ll 
be his crutch 
He makes me smile like a 
Cheshire cat 
It’s been so long since I have 
Experienced that 
The day I meet him on his return
Flight back home
I’ll be eagerly awaiting and will 
Not roam 
That first hug and kiss will be 
So amazing and pure 
He is my partner , my life,
My all time cure
They will have to pry me out
Of his strong loving arms 
There I’ll feel secure where
Nothing can do me harm 
He is my world without a shadow
Of a doubt 
I’m the luckiest gal to have this 
Man come about
