My Heart Will Rejoice In Thee
Through the ups and downs, the ins and outs
As life encompasses me
I face trials and hurts, betrayals and doubts
But my heart rejoices in Thee
Though some problems can seem so triumphant
There are times when there's nowhere to flee
But I know that Your Light will always shine through
And my heart does rejoice in Thee
Through tears and pain; through heartaches and fear
Though darkness may be all we see
If Hell itself were to rise up to fight
Still - my heart would rejoice in Thee
For You suffered and bled; You took away our sins
And You did this so we could be free
It was the vision of joy that was set before You
Now my heart rejoices with Thee
For I know in my heart - You will always be there
Whatever the matter may be
Your Love does abound - and It never fails
So my heart will rejoice in Thee
Out of all the sounds in Nature heard
And the kingdoms on Earth that be -
I have heard no sound that is near as sweet
As my heart rejoicing with Thee!
