My Heart Will Never Say Goodbye

A lifetime loving you
has come and gone, it seems.
But, deep inside this heart of mine
still live so many dreams.
No one can say just why we two
let our love fade and die.
Yet, one thing is for certain --
My heart will never say good-bye.

My heart will never say good-bye
to things I've shared with you.
The laughter, tears, and times we had
all seem too precious few.
I'm thankful for the love we shared.
But, no matter how I try,
I just cannot give up the dream.
My heart will never say good-bye.

My heart just won't let go
of memories we shared.
It lives on feelings left behind
and knowing that you cared.
Love isn't some forgotten thing
to a heart that wants to try.
From now until forever --
My heart will never say good-bye.
