MY HEART IS BLACKOUT

My heart lost its fire Just when I tried harder. I had hoped for a gain By giving all I've got. But love despises gambling The hand I was dealt Was blank yet too optimistic— Winning was not too realistic. I pushed all in the pot Deceived by veils and blinds. But love is not a game of chance— It demands fortune and skill combined. With this blackout now, I see I should learn to fold and hold. Love is not for the bold But for those with hearts turned cold.
