My Heart Burns a Thousand Fires
My heart burns a thousand fires,
recalling when we first met,
it started as a slow burn and ignited
with a fiery speed gathering more ground,
our love was meant to be bound.
My heart burns a thousand fires,
two hearts melting as one,
enjoying the electrifying sparks,
flying high into the atmosphere,
holding loving hands without fear.
My heart burns a thousand fires,
as we carry a torch for each other,
adding heat to the emblazoned sky,
lighting the way for our burning desire,
never wanting to put out the fire.
