Heidi Sands Poet Rhyme

My Heart

My heart is strong and sensitive
It has been broken many times
But filled with love, I like to give
Far beyond the words in these rhymes

My heart has led me many ways
For things I love, bring sanity
Survival, a theme many days
There is no room for vanity

Then, there’s the heart issues with health
To manage it, to keep beating
To feel peace fulfilled, is my wealth
To let certain things be fleeting

To share it closely is a risk
But to see someone smile repays,
Warmth in cold fears that may be brisk
It beats in my purpose these days
