My Happy Pills
Never miss taking my happy pills
Keeps me on this joyous path
Singing all day, sleeping all night
Starting each day with a laugh
Never agreed with taking medication
Not needed for us to survive
But with all the stuff we have to endure
A little help is needed to get by
Non-addictive, it's only to remind us
Small things aren't important to life
Things that are basically non-life threatening
Ignoring them eliminates strife
At times it's difficult to remember those days
A much calmer life with less stress
Hard to get along without a wee bit of help
It could be better, must confess
Really though, you're all my happy pills
And I mean that in the nicest way
Feel so alive coz you stimulate my senses
Look forward to our chats each day
