My Guardian Angel
From the moment I set eyes on you
I knew that you would change me
You set me free
In ways that I could have never believed
You saw right through me
Saw my strengths and weakness
I couldn't have made it here without you
You took me away from the bleakness
There's beauty in your presence
From your curiosity to your smile
You allow me to open up
Keeping me same for a little while
There are few people that know me well enough
To cheer me up and make me feel better
You always know exactly what to say and do
And you stole my heart in the old black sweater
Now I see you everywhere I go
Can't get you off my mind
Even though you aren't here
My heart puts our memories on rewind
I'm extremely lucky to have found you
Or maybe you sought me out
Whatever the case may be
You saved my life, without a doubt
To know that I have met my guardian angel
Is something I couldn't have imagined
And you taught me how to live
A life that I would've abandoned
