My Greatest Desire

My single greatest want is to forever be with You, More than this my want to be in restfulness imbued. More than all the loved ones with whom I shall reunite, More than all the riches in which my heart could delight, When I, through the gates arrive, shall my soul seek for You For this is a reuniting that's been overdue! Though I never have, my Lord, been blessed to see Thy face, Somehow do I miss it like a well-familiar grace. These my eyes that ever searched the skies to see Your sight, Once they find their aim, shall never blink to miss Your light. May I never, ever be removed from Thee again, For You are the only goal my soul has longed to gain!
