My Grandpa

I lost a partner in crime,
But I'll see him again further in time.
He was the defenition of a man,
Always willing to lend a hand.
He had some special way,
Of brightening up even the darkest days.
He had the biggest smile with the best heart,
And he had been there for me from the start.
He took me under his wings,
And along the way taught me so many things.
He taught me how to throw a ball,
And to always get up after a fall.
He taught me to stay strong and fight till the end,
He was more then my grandpa, he was more then my friend.
He was a solider in more ways then one,
He taught me to take responibility and never to run.
He will forever live on in the rest of us,
This amazing man was Jerry Gonzales.
