My Good-Bye

in a flash of light
there goes your life
in a blink of an eye
everything turns white
all things you didn't do
all words you never said
and the last thing you did
was get into bed
the impact so hard
as you close your eyes
who would have known
you couldn't say good-bye
not being able to help it
you drift off to sleep
never to wake again
in a slumber so deep
everyone's around you
you barely hear a thing
faintly in the background
heavenly angels sing
you weren't ready
it just wasn't your time
but you now have one thing
and that is peace of mind
so we sleep more soundly
knowing you're in our mist
though with each passing day
you are always missed.

I love this poem, it kind of gives you and idea of what it's like to die.
