My Good Memories As a Boy
Little girls are shown off simply for being pretty.
Though little boys are just as handsome
as girls are pretty,
boys are in a rut--- but,
they learn how to strut.
They teeter, they totter, they swagger.
They pee farther and straighter
as they prove by completion
of healthy competition.
They drag off to fishin’,
wishin’
someone else were there to bait the hook.
They brag to kingdom come
about how big was one that took
the bait and then was lost
and no one can prove them wrong.
The name and fame of their toys….
Why it’s an official Daisy Red Ryder Bullseye shootin
bb rifle—made especially for boys!!!
The kind that will shoot your eye out,
if you’re not careful and
learn to use that gun as a tool, not a toy.
Yes, little boys!
The only thing to change as they age
are the size and cost of their toys.
and the duration
of competition.
