My Gift To My Love

          My Gift to My Love

There are so many silly gadgets to buy, 
clothes or videos for you.
Never mind all that silliness!
Am sending me, to you, I will be
your Christmas Rose, your happiness.

Coming in a simple,red velvet box with
a gold gigantic bow.
And covered with stars and a silver 
medallion, engraved,'Romios', you know.

My long dress of rosettes, was designed 
just for you.
As a sign of my scentual,eternal love, too.

So have the chilled Mavrodaphne ready.
Grape leaves, taramosalata, anchovies 
and grilled Pita bread, too.
Just be certain you are warm and ready.
Have enough, am counting on you!

After all, whenever I am with you my heart
rules my head.
I get lost in the stars,I see in your eyes.
And the warmth of your lips,
Better than all moonbeams in the sky!

I believe that good poets should be complimented on their works, not ignored due to one's own insecurities and/or biases..
