I wrote this poem for my beloved Mother for Mother's Day, 1997. I always made sure she knew how much I Love her and adore her and doing so, gives me some solace now that she is no longer here with me. But the loss of my Mom never gets any easier. ♥
What words do I write? What words can I say?
About my dear Mother, when there is really no way...
To adequately state, to totally uphold,
A real superwoman which never gets told.
The credit she deserves cannot be explained.
Exalt her I do for she's truly ordained.
Her spirit is relentless. Her courage so great.
With a heart so big I can only elate.
Her will is astounding though her mountains are steep.
Her compassion's abounding. Her integrity runs deep.
With endurance so endless and vitality, did I mention?
Perseverance, she has plenty; her best, her intention.
A greater compliment I could never receive,
Compared with my mother? Truly, I can't even perceive,
For she is unique, surely one of a kind.
For one, even remotely, like her I never could find!
My dear Mother I honour. My dear Mother I praise.
The Lord, always, He's with her for she lives by His Ways.
Never shall I know again, one so dear and true.
My dearest, most beloved friend, I truly, deeply love YOU!!!
