My Friend
I knew you would be my friend from the start
Because I could feel it deep in my heart
As I watched you from afar
I could see you had many a scar
As we began to talk about the pain you endured
I knew exactly how that felt for sure
My heart was drawn to your kindred Spirit
And when we met the feeling mirrored it
I've only known you for a short time
But I'm so glad that we met online
Your friendship is precious just as you are
And I am so glad you kept that door ajar
You have inspired me in so many ways
I am so glad you gave me a gaze
As time goes on I hope we will always be friends
Because losing you would be no end
