My Friend

My Friend

No, I Am Not a Relative,
No Blood Ties Us Together,
But I Am Here to Let You Know
I Shall Remember You Forever.

You Held My Hand When Things Were Bad,
And We Laughed When Times Were Good.
There Was Only One like You, My Dear
I'd like to Talk to You...If I Could.

But I Know it Can't Be Done.
Your Life Has Come to an End.
Today They'll Lay You down to Rest
And I'll Say Goodbye..To a Very Good Friend.
