My Friend
A shot of Tequila
takes away the pain
Even for a moment
Everything's ok
Though i know it will
come back again
For just one moment i can pretend
That i am happy
That i wanted this to end
The pain i know you dont feel
it was like it was not real
you hide away in your alcohol
so i take a page from your book
and do the same
just so i dont feel the pain
Hopefully one day it will subside
the pain of rejection will ease
and one day ill be at peace
but until then
my friend tequila
pour me a shot again
