My Friend

Friends stand by you, even through the hardest times,
The darkest of nights and roughest of rivers.

Friends may not understand everything, but they sure
Try, they listen to any and everything you have to say.

Friends respect you and where your coming from,
They don’t always feel the same way, but they try.

Friends don’t care if you live in a hole with a shabby door,
They see what’s inside, within, for the heart bears only truth.

Friends give back from the heart, what they receive,
and never expect more and never from the pocket.

Friends are there in the darkest times and brightest moments,
Only a call, a breath, a stamp; or a step away.

You are a part of me, not just a name to throw around,
By you I will stand and build upon our bond…
	Because you are my Friend!

Enjoyed reading your impressive poetry today Rosemarie. Have not read for almost a week now. I had a wonderful vacation. Have a wonderful day. Love, Carol
