My forgetfulness in words

Poem of an Amnesiac

"My words are forgotten."

One word.

"Forget."

The forgettings of my words.

"Forget?"

My forgettings in words.

"What to say?"

They spring forth, gather, blur.

They tangle, get lost, find themselves.

They stray, fade, become troubled, as if sucked into a hole, an abyss.

They pile up, amass, fade away, like a story without a source, without a trace.

Do they exist or not? A mirage or a hope?

My forgettings in words.

What to say? In words?

Mirage of a true falsehood.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

This poem’s way of twisting "forget" back on itself is so cool, like the words are caught in their own little mystery loop. It really makes you feel the fog of memory slipping away.
