My Fondest Memory

My fondest memory was so surreal
It has changed my life downright
and I really feel beatific to reveal
  the secret behind my delight
It happened on a bright sunny day
I saw a tiny yellow egg amidst
 the leaves,which was its hideaway
It was so cute and I could not resist

I kept it inside the plastic container
The next day the small caterpillar
hatched and it was my entertainer
and it had become my tension killer
I raised it by feeding curry leaves,
   drenching and cleansing the box
and many a time I used to give
hugs and I never wanted to unbox

Days went by and one day that miracle
happened, like a blessing in disguise
There was a butterfly inside the receptacle
and it was really a grand surprise
I shouted loud, jumped like a baby
I was at the height of bliss, when
it walked on my hand,I became crazy
when it kissed on my cheek and chin

I forgot the world and got transported
into a new place, when it landed on my hand
and the feelings & warmth will not be forgotten
and I would cherish the moment till my end
since then I started raising butterflies indoor
So far I have raised 75 butterflies and, more

wow, this is really fascinating, Supraja. For REAL??? They don't live long though, do they? Do you keep them flying around you or let them fly to the sky?? Hope Frank will love this too

This is a true story Andrea... It has changed my life.. I started observing little things around me... My friends call me butterfly girl... They also started raising butterflies... You are right...Butterflies don't live longer.. But they're the happiest souls,in the world... I do not keep them with me... I let them fly free... I don't have words to explain my happiness when a butterfly flies from my box... It's really a wonderful experience...
