My First Fairytale
My first fairytale
For Katie.
I believe it was Cinderella,
Or maybe was it Sleeping Beauty,
Perhaps Snow White.
Oh how excitement filled me!
Waiting for that sweet prince to come save that beautiful princess,
Wanting the evil witches to disappear!
Oh how I miss those school nights staying up past my bedtime reading the same story over and over again,
Hiding under my blanket fortress to hide from mom,
Keeping a flashlight in hand at all time during this quiet night.
Dreaming I was this beautiful,
To find my love as he rescued me from evil and disaster,
To kiss him under the full moon ona spring night.
My first fairytale was my last.
