My First Day

(For Logan)

My first day
I was scared
I was excited
I was nervous

My first day
I was tickled to be there
I was meeting new friends
I was being free

I was away from home
I was on my own
I was being independent
I was all alone

I became overjoyed
I was giggling all over
I never saw anything like it before

I was never so happy
I was never so relieved
I loved it
It was my favorite place to be

My first day of school
Was so fresh and new
With all new faces smiling back at me
Waiting to meet me too

My first day of school
Changed my entire life
There is nothing more thrilling
Than to go and learn great things

Of all the places to go
School is the greatest
My friends are their
I get to learn
I get to play and have fun

My first day of school
I will never forget
