My Feet Are Bare Again

My feet are bare again Like they were when I started Life feels so different when you’re on your toes It’s not even cold when your sun heats my sand Until the water creeps up and washes my fabled city away You were the king of this castle Til I kicked it away with my foot Don’t you see how easy it is to disintegrate?
