My Fears

OGUNLABI OLAJIDE YUSUF-NativePen 005 MY FEARS TIME OF THOUGHT:02:30AM DATE OF THOUGHT:24:02:2010 Indeed I gat my deeper fears The one I will live to see Not at all of the past But of the future The coming future The unknown Not of the day old But of the old age When my strength will reduce; Vision become dreams Kneels disengage the body And all smartness shall be gone When staff Shall be my third legs And the smooth radiant skin Will be wrinkled When my youthful flares Shall bid goodbye while am here When the hands of time will turn my children to my nanny. Hmm, what a future to wait upon When all my blacks turns grey And my age will grow old And turn my limbs to banana stalks Hmm, what a future to wait upon When the fresh cheek will Turn haggard sallowless And the time pass Will drink my strength up.
