My Favorite Place To Write Contest

My favorite place to write
On a warm clear summer night,
  Is by the ocean shore
While the waves scream out for more,
    The stars signal there plea
As the wind quietly whispers to me,
      The sand between my toes,
Inspiring my words to simply flow,
The imprints of people from the day
Sit sculpted around where I lay,
The lights from far out beams,
           Reflect on puddles
            That have become silent streams,
             Brushing against my thighs
As the time seems to pass me by
Aquatic life is heard by a distance splash,
Suddenly I am soaked by a liquid crash,
All is saturated except my notepad
This ritual has become my new fad,
I hang myself out to dry on the old boardwalk
I listen as people walk by having there late night talks
I watch the sky as pigeons fly
                        communicating with a cry
                         Inspired by creation,
                          The water my sensation.
