My Favorite Place
My favorite place is my mind
a place where I can think and rhyme
somewhere that has no time
Blind
to all the hurts and pain
the never ending flame
points no fingers, no one to blame
Gain
a new state of being
open my eyes to all I'm seeing
on God I'm leaning
Freeing
my wings so they can fly
no reason to criticize and lie
watching a dream die
My
favorite place is one that doesn't hate
doesn't debate
doesn't act fake
doesn't ...... create
drama and broken hearts
allowing us to be apart
no bruises or marks
Dark
trying to find the light
strong, true, and bright
won't go down without a fight
Knight
the name I have had
God has risen; be glad
No reason to be sad
Mad?
not at all
jumped right up after that fall
break the wall
Recall
my mind is my favorite place
Poetry fells every space
Poets, let's race
Grace.
