My Favorite Dream

You are a dream I wish I could see
A thought that I wish we could be
A love that could never be broken
But alas, we have never spoken

We held hands when we walked in the park
We watched movies and laughed in the dark
We made cookies covered in frosting
We went on a run, that was exhausting

I smiled when you painted my nails
You laughed at all my makeup fails
I got hungry when you ate my fries
I got lost when I looked in your eyes

You liked it when I bought you that mug
And when you cried I gave you a hug
Then you let out a beep or alarm
I was only hugging my empty arm
