My Father God

My Father you have been to me 
my mighty foundation of stability.

You are the soft warm place within my heart
that has been with me from the very start.

You are the stern firm hand of discipline
that corrects me when I sin.

You are a rushing river of mercy 
that forgives me in a hurry.

You are my mentor who encourages
and saves me from disappointments scourges.

You are my strong hold that I run to when
evil has over run me again.

You are life’s one true beauty 
that I wish that all could see.

You are my source of all I need
and everything that I want to be.

You are my Father my comfort my God and my life,
And I love you forever and that’s all I have to write.
