My Father

There is an old man
Who i hold dear to me
He grew me up right
And tried to make my life easy
He gave me everything he could
And the calluses on his hands
Show the proof
Hes gone most of the day
And he works his fingers to the bone
To provide food and make this house a home
This man is not only my father
But he is my best friend
When I have troubles in my life
I run to him
He is always there for me
Even when we dont agree
He is a very important part
In our family
He is the rock
That our home is founded on
I hate to think that
One day he could be gone
But he buried his love
Deep into our hearts
And forever he will live on
