My Faith
If someone would have told me that this is how my life would have turned out,
I would have told them they had no clue what they were talking about.
I am no longer attending school and I currently do not have a job,
I just sit at home all day long like a poor old slob.
But either way I was not happy before,
I always wanted and needed more.
More of what though?
I simply didn’t and still do not know.
However, I am not about to give up I am constantly trying to find work
But in these times it’s like a rat race,
Of which only a few are ever victorious and at the rate at which doors are being slammed in my face,
I honestly don’t know how I am going to keep up with the pace.
Nonetheless,
There is a special gift that I posses,
One that gives me the strength and courage to stand up tall,
And say to the world “no matter what, I am in this for the long haul”
I cling on to it tight,
With all my might,
So that I will not give up this fight
I know that just by looking at me I may look like an utter mess,
That doesn’t matter because I will never settle for less.
I will scratch and claw my way through the mud until I realize my dream,
No matter how crazy I may seem.
Until that day,
When ill find what I have been looking for
And I will finally be on my way.
