I just wanna make you proud

I just wanna let you see
You are the best part of me

My eyes were dark
My heart was gone
Don’t you know I was too far gone
Inside I faded away
But you brought me the light of day

Inside I always weep
I prayed to God for my soul to keep
It always felt like he was never there
But now I know he answered every prayer
